Loft Finds April/May 2018

Romper: LOFT

Happy May y'all! We are finally moving into the weather I love and I enjoyed sitting on the pier in my neighborhood and spending time by the water and getting some sunshine. I can't believe that this spot is actually in Manhattan. This is why I love this city so much. It's such a big city and can be overwhelming with all the tall buildings, but if you find the perfect spots, you can feel like you are escaping the city life without leaving Manhattan. I will definitely be spending a lot of time out here in the coming months.

I also feel like I will be spending a lot of time in the future, which is unfortunate for my bank account, in LOFT. Before late February, I have never shopped at LOFT, as I have always been a fan of J Crew and the quality of their clothes. Recently though, every time I have gone to J Crew to look through their collections, I haven't found anything to excite me.

However, I saw some fellow bloggers post pictures in this white tank that I thought was so cute and decided to check it out when they were having one of their famous 40% all items sale. Y'all, this is my new favorite store to shop at. First off, they have clothes for every occasion, such as work, casual, and special events and second, they always have the best sales going on. This past weekend they had another 40% off sale, along with an additional 10% off if you shopped at one of their stores or online during the weekend. Then on top of those amazing discounts, they were also offering free shipping for any online orders during the sale. It does not get better than this.

So this post is dedicated to the outfits I purchased this past month and items that are on my wishlist.

Covered Button Strappy Cami

This cami was the whole reason I decided to try out LOFT and I am so happy that this cami introduced me to my new love. The reason I first looked into this top is because I had purchased a pink midi and was on the hunt for the perfect top to go with it. It's lightweight and the buttons down the front is an added touch to a basic white cami.

This top is perfect for work wear and casual wear. I also purchased this cami in the blue color to add a pop of color to an all black work outfit and to add some color to what feels like an all black wardrobe that I have, which seems to be the unofficial uniform of NYC.

Striped Flutter Tie Waist Romper

I am currently on a romper kick and this romper is the perfect addition to my collection. The thing I love most about this outfit is that the stripes are vertical, which makes for a sliming and longer look of the body, but then the sleeves and the belt are horizontal stripes. this outfit will be perfect for a night out for dinner with friends.

Striped Tie Waist Shorts

I'm definitely on a striped pattern kick right now. I just love the different ways you can do it and how much it makes me feel like it's summer and I'm on the beach. However, these shorts took some time to grow on me. I had circled the store a couple of time before seeing the pair with the elastic waist and decided to try them on. Then I decided to go back to these pairs because for some reason the elastic waist just weren't speaking to me.

These shorts are so fun to look at and match perfectly with any white tops you have. They are a combination of the perfect pastel colors. These are perfect for a fun day in the park or at a boardwalk.

Lacy Mixed Media Tee

This top caught my eye for the details on the sleeves. I don't have a nice plain white top that isn't a tee and this is the perfect addition to my closet. You can pair this top with any numerous styles of pants, such as the shorts I just talked about. This top is multi functional, to where you can wear it to work with a blazer and pants and then style it more casually to go out for drinks with friends after work. This top is also available in red, for those who like to have more color in their wardrobe.

The following items are items that I would love to add to my closet and am keeping an eye on.
