June Is Bustin' Out All Over (Carousel Revival)

No matter how interested one is in musicals, everyone knows Rogers and Hammerstein. The Sound of Music is probably the most known show created by the most popular composing duo. I mean "My Favorite Things" has essentially become a Christmas classic, which I don't agree with and think is weird. Like most, The Sound of Music was my first introduction to Rogers and Hammerstein and I have been lucky to see two of their shows on Broadway, first with Cinderella staring Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana (*swoon) and then 2015 revival of The King and I, staring Kelli O'Hara (*still crying over it).

Weekly Outfit Roundup (8/19-8/25)

Happy Sunday y'all! I'm excited to introduce a new weekly series where I roundup every outfit I post on my Instagram and link the outfits to allow you to see what I'm wearing and be able to purchase the item you want directly. I'll try and start off every post with a quick roundup of my week also.

This week has been crazy because I got hired for a new job and literally started the next day. The two and a half days of training that I have done have been crazy and overwhelming, but I really enjoy the company I'm working for and I think I'll be able to learn a lot at this job. I also did an escape room for the first time ever and yesterday I saw the film Searching. This is a great movie and I HIGHLY suggest everyone to go see it. I ended this week with dinner with a friend who is in town for a conference who I haven't seen since I graduated from college in 2016.

Hygge means... (Frozen March 2018)

Disney has a new show on Broadway since Aladdin opened four years ago and I am so happy about it.
Disney manages to put on the most spectacular shows. I’m talking amazing lighting, amazing set design,
costumes, and choreography. They also manage to put the Disney magic into their shows and I still
can’t figure out how. Frozen has been in the talks to be on Broadway since the film came out in 2013
and they had the theatre booked since Something Rotten! closed in the beginning of 2017. Getting
tickets for this show was going to be tricky, especially since I knew I wouldn’t have the money for the
tickets.

New Updates + Why I Went MIA

Hey y'all. Sorry I've been MIA lately. I've had a lot of changes happen in the past few weeks and honestly, I'm not the best at dealing with changes. What ended up happening is that I get into a funk where I have to force myself to get out and do anything. Unfortunately, this also means that I had a creativity block where I couldn't think of anything to write or find the energy to go out and take pictures.
