New Updates + Why I Went MIA

Hey y'all. Sorry I've been MIA lately. I've had a lot of changes happen in the past few weeks and honestly, I'm not the best at dealing with changes. What ended up happening is that I get into a funk where I have to force myself to get out and do anything. Unfortunately, this also means that I had a creativity block where I couldn't think of anything to write or find the energy to go out and take pictures.

While I was also in this funk, my interest to be active in social media, both private and public, have been very minimal. The break was very nice and I've been enjoying spending my time wandering around the city attempting to get inspiration and spending time with friends. I've also been able to spend some time at the beaches in Brooklyn and Queens as there's just something about the ocean waves that relaxes me and helps me think clearly.

I recently moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn, and I'm loving it. I've spent some time discovering my new neighborhood and the area around it. I've also taken advantage of having a MoviePass subscription, as hard as it is to use lately, to see movies to get me out of the apartment.

On Monday, I went to the gym for the first time in a year to try and help me get out of my funk, as I've decided I needed to get out of the funk. While I haven't been to the gym since then, it did however open my creativity back up.

One of the major projects that has come to mind while thinking about what I want to do with the blog is a weekly blog post with details of all the outfits I post on Instagram with links to each item for an easier way for y'all to purchase an item if you love it.

I have some reviews of Broadway shows I've been seeing for the past few months written and as soon as I have pictures ready for the posts and final details completed, they will be posted over the next few weeks.

I'm excited to start a few new things with the blog and see where it takes me and I'm excited for this new view on a few things in my life. Since August completes my first year in NYC and it's normally the start of a new school year, I'm thinking of this as a new year for me to re-evaluate on some things and start new projects.

I hope y'all will follow along and let me know what you think of either blog posts or instagram posts as we go along.

Thanks y'all!
Melissa
