Disney Animated Movie Challenge: Part II

We made it to part 2! I know for me the biggest struggle when I start a challenge is continuing on after completing the first part. If you want to know more about the details of the challenge, the rules and the first part, check it out here. These seven movies are more of an ode to animation in general. They're mostly full length movies with a few short animations put together to create some fun for children. A few of these movies aren't available on Disney+ currently, but hopefully that will change in the future.

Since these set of movies focuses more on animation and the fab 5, I thought I would create an ode to the OG's with this shirt I purchased at Disney world a few years ago of Walt and Mickey standing together on Main Street. I just love the retro feel of it, especially since on of the movies listed in this post is the inspiration behind the popular Disney ride Splash Mountain.

Amazon Haul

Okay so I know I'm late to the Amazon Prime clothing game, but a few years ago I tried to order clothes from Amazon that ended up shipping from China and was a bad experience. However, I got a Amazon gift card for Christmas this year and decided to try out some of the clothes that I've seen fellow bloggers purchase. So below, I have pics of all the clothing items I purchased from Amazon recently.

Weekly Roundup Jan 20 - Jan 26

Hey ya'll! Here's to another week of weekly roundups. This week was pretty uneventful and routine, but I was also able to put some things into perspective.

This week at work, we had a meeting on Wednesday where one of the managers said something that really stood out to me and I spend the day evaluating where I was and what I needed to work on to get to where I want to be. I can't wait to start putting these into effect asap.

Disney Animated Movie Challenge: Part I

Like many people, I was pumped when Disney+ came out. I mean it's incredible how almost every single Disney movie is now available through one streaming service. I'm still mind blown that I can watch classics like Cinderella or The Little Mermaid by just clicking a few buttons on my laptop or phone.

Back when my friend, Mary Ellen and I were running a joint blog, which ignited my passion for blogging, we started to do a challenge where we wanted to watch every single Disney Animated movie that has been released in theaters (meaning no direct to DVD movie will be included in the challenge. Sorry Mulan II, I really do think you're a good sequel). However, it was really hard to find a good version of the movies on a third party streaming service, so the challenge died out.

Finding An Apartment in NYC

I've been planning to do a blog post about this for a while, but I actually had a sorority sister reach out to me the other day through Facebook asking for suggestions to help a friend find an apartment in NYC and it reminded me of finding my apartment here in the city.

I feel like everyone wants to live in New York City at some point in their life. Heck, that was me all through college. This was the goal for post college. Normally, one would think that because it is such a large city with five boroughs, you would think it would be pretty easy to find an apartment. Then reality hits hard.

Weekly Roundup (Jan 13 - Jan 18)

I can't believe the first half of the month is over. We changed the hours for work for the next few weeks and so we're now starting later. Honestly, it will be nice to get some it a few things done in the morning before coming into the office, but this week the focus was catching up on some needed sleep to make sure I don't get sick again.

The weather this week has been crazy. We started the week with a record high of 67 degrees last Sunday, went through dropping temperatures to 20+ mph winds on Thursday or Friday and then ended the week with a snow fall. I love how the city looks after a snow fall. It's so magical and gorgeous. I also have a weird liking towards hearing my feet crunch under the snow ❄️

Fabletics Haul - January 2020

I feel like the go to New Years Resolution is to go to the gym more. I honestly don't know what it is about January first that makes people suddenly decide they are going to the gym. Honestly, I always say I'm going to the gym but then I don't, but I definitely don't try to start going during the first month of the year.

However, what I do like about working out is the cute exercise clothes that are out there to buy and Fabletics has been my go to place for the past three to four years. What I love about Fabletics is how affordable they are while also being great quality and lasting for years on end.

Weekly Roundup Jan. 6-12

First full week of the year is complete! Did anyone else feel weirdly off on Monday trying to get back into a full week routine?

This week was crazy busy with work, but that's how it's going to be until I reach the promotion I'm trying to reach in the next six weeks, which means I won't be as active on instagram stories as I try to be.

My best friends came back into town yesterday, so we are going to meet up tonight for dinner to catch up and exchange Christmas gifts. Its great to have the three musketeers back together again and can't wait for all the adventures we will try to have this year.

That's So Fetch 💕 (Mean Girls Review)

On Wednesdays, we go see Mean Girls. When I heard this movie was becoming a musical and Tina Fey was writing the book, I was so excited. It took me a year and a half to see this show because with my luck I was losing the lottery every time I entered it. I heard a few months ago that they started to do rush tickets every day before performances but decided to actually check it out back in October.

I arrived at the theater on a Sunday morning around 10 AM and was about 11th in line I believe. What helped for me was that it was a random two show Sunday and most of the people in front of me were there as a group.

Before I get started on my review, I'm so excited to have my friend AJ join in on this review. He was lucky enough to see the original broadway cast and I've asked him to write a review of the show from when he saw it. Enjoy it below!

Weekly Round Up (12/30-1/5)

Happy 2020 y'all! I feel like everyone is still getting back into their regular routine. Thankfully for myself, I worked throughout the holiday, only taking off for Christmas and New Years Day so I was able to finish out the year strong.

I spend my New Years Day sending goals to my work coaches and I'm excited to hit the goals that I have for the year, not only with work, but also with the blog. One of the ideas I'm tossing around in my head is taking advantage of living in the Northeast and exploring some of the cities near NYC, such as Philly, DC and Boston and be able to travel more.
